What is Hypopressive Treatment?

Hypopressive treatment was developed in Belgium in the 1980s and is in use across Europe. It is a series of simple exercises which can be performed at home with benefits including:

  • Reducing waist size and flattening the abdominal wall
  • Increasing abdominal and pelvic floor muscle tone
  • Prevention and treatment of incontinence, prolapse and hernias
  • Increasing explosive strength and anaerobic capacity
  • Raising metabolism
  • Improving sexual function
  • Improving posture (especially posterior chain)
  • Activating the sympathetic nervous system
