ANATOMY & CONTINENCE

Did you know that your levator ani (group of muscles known generally as your pelvic floor) have a feel or sensory connection with your bladder.

Works like this:

If your pelvic floor is toned and healthy, as your bladder fills it starts to press on the muscles, (like you jumping on a trampoline in slow motion) once the bladder feels the muscles react or change activation to the right amount it sends a signal to release urine and pee.

So if your pelvic floor is hypertonic (tight) it’s going to give that signal too soon! (and you would bounce quicker) And thus you pee more and if your pelvic floor is hypotonic then it may give the signal too late ( you would bounce slower) (overflow).

This is why  Hypopressives are simply the best because they bring back functional tone to both hypertonic and hypotonic levator ani muscles!
